T-cell Modulating Therapy

TCM, Name given by the acronym in English: T Cell Modulator.

Its main work relies as an adjuvant and stimulant in the immune response of the cancer patient. Although its name is specific for a single cell type, the T cells, their function is broad and impacts on the multiple activities of these cells.

To better understand this we must first explain the basic structure of the cells we are going to stimulate, also known as white blood cells or leukocytes, within these, we have lymphocytes and myeloid cells, all of them large families of cell groups which share similar characteristics but each have their own functions within the organism.

We will focus in this lecture on the cells in charge of battling cancer, setting aside their origin and family to focus only on their biggest asset, its function!

The cells of the immune system in charge of mounting the immune response against malignant cells are:

• Cytotoxic and collaborator T lymphocytes
• Dendritic cells
• NK cells
• L.A.K cells

Each of these cells has a special function within the battle against malignant cells.

The first step consists of recognizing the dysfunctional cell, presenting this malignant cell to other immune cells and then attacking and destroying it, to do this, these cells use a communication system between them that allows all these functions.

This is where cancer can produce its effects to achieve its development and tumor formation; where malignant cells evade recognition and thus block the response against them, preventing the necessary messages from being transmitted between our immune cells inactivating the sequence of events required for the destruction of these cells.

Cellular therapy

Cellular therapy is considered one of the angular treatments in our cancer fighting approach, becoming a real option for cancer management.

What is cellular therapy?

Also known as immunotherapy, autologous cellular therapy, or anti-cancer vaccines, cellular therapy is an accepted form of treatment, even mentioned in medical journals.

Within oncology, Immunotherapy is known as a group of drugs called monoclonal antibodies, which act through the immune system to attack malignant cells. It is important to mention that when using the term immunotherapy we are not alluding to this specific presentation.

Cellular therapy involves the use of patient-specific immune cells for the treatment of cancer.

Recall that the immune system is composed of white blood cells, this is a generic name that refers to a huge population of cells of different types and with different functions, all with a common end, the defense and repair of the human body.

These cells circulate throughout our body through the blood reaching all tissues and organs, thus maintaining order and integrity of the whole being. We can see our immune system as a great army, ready and armed to attack any enemy, within this cellular army we will recognize different types of "soldiers" each with a special quality and function within the immune response.

Hyperthermia

Hyperthermia by definition, is the elevation in temperature and for purposes of this explanation, the term refers to body temperature.

The most common type of hyperthermia the body experiments is fever.

Fever is one of the body's defense mechanisms, this can be activated by external factors such as infections, intoxications, excessive sun exposure, as well as internal factors such as chronic disease, leukemias and lymphomas to name a few.

But, why does the body increase its temperature in these situations?

Like many functions of the body, these have developed through the evolution of the human being and exposure to it’s environment, resulting in this evolutionary development and defense mechanisms, in this case, fever.

Through different biochemical signals the hypothalamus located at the base of the brain, is responsible for the regulation of this function.

The approximate temperature, which maintains some constancy or little variability and considered as "normal" is 36.7 degrees Celsius with only slight variations

The hypothalamus is the thermostat of the body, which through different biochemical signals adapts or generates response to keep the body at an optimal temperature, it is important to mention that by definition, fever is a syndrome, a set of signs and symptoms, where the main or most common one is hyperthermia.

We use the term hyperthermia when the body temperature is above 38 degrees Celsius, temperatures above 44 degrees Celsius are usually fatal for humans.

We can say that fever is mostly a controlled mechanism. From which we can obtain certain benefits, such as the improvement of the immune response, it also hampers bacterial growth and viral replication, and is of influence on vaccine efficacy.

Insulin potentiated therapy IPT

Insulin Potentiation Therapy IPT© or Insulin Potentiation low dose Therapy IPTLD®, it is a metabolic supported chemotherapy. It involves fasting, insulin and chemotherapy.

Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT) has been in existence as a therapy since 1930 and has been used successfully as a cancer treatment since 1946. Insulin Potentiation Therapy was initially developed by my grandfather, Donato Pérez García, Sr. M.D.

IPT targets the treatment of a cell by changing the bio-physio-chemical constants and parameters of the blood. This pathway initially attacks the cancerous cell itself through its intra-cellular environment and extra-cellular environment by permeabilizing the cell membrane via insulin.

IPT is a targeted therapy for cancer and chronic disease; the power of chemotherapy is directed only to cancer cells and not a patient’s entire body. In addition, the chemo is delivered at a fraction of the normal dose. This approach eliminates or significantly reduces the dreaded side-effects of conventional chemo. IPTLD annihilates cancer cells by employing the very same mechanisms that cancer cells utilize to kill people.

Who can practice IPT

The demand for I.P.T. has increased and with that, the certification of M.D.'s.

Unfortunately there have been many doctors who have taken and stolen knowledge on I.P.T. and used it to trained others for personal profit, even organizations and foundations have been opened in the name of I.P.T. without authorization nor consultation to the rightful owner of I.P.T. (The rightful owner of IPT is Donato Perez Garcia, MD).

Not every medical doctor can be an I.P.T. Physician. It takes time, effort, preparation and a thorough evaluation to certify a doctor as an official I.P.T. Physician, capable and competent to perform this protocol, always keeping the security of the patient at high priority. Not all doctors are willing to do this hard part and choose to “skip” an authorized certification by the rightful owner of Insulin Potentiation Therapy. Each year there are Global I.P.T.-I.P.T.L.D® Conferences where all medical doctors are invited to join, each year there are seminars and training I.P.T. workshops given by Dr. Donato Perez Garcia, MD. the option to be officially certified is there and it's open, yet many choose to practice I.P.T. without ever being evaluated or supervised, putting the patient’s life and well being at great risk.

Which is why, the I.P.T. Medical Team of Donato Perez Garcia.MD., is opening a virtual space where patients and general public can anonymously report mal practice from uncertified doctors/foundations and organizations that say to be allegedly trained and officially certified by Donato Perez Garcia, M.D. These reports will be taken into account and if not replied within a 2-week period, they will be directed to proper authorities. Some one has to look out for these patients and let them know they are not alone. As senior instructor and head director of I.P.T.-I.P.T.L.D. it is my duty and responsibility to advise and caution patients on this situation and provide a solution.

A doctor who’s not certified or updated on these matters, can cause a serious damage to the patient. That’s why Dr.Donato encourages all I.P.T Physicians to be in constant training and emits an expiration date on all Certificates, to make sure they’re updated and prepared for any complication during the protocol. Unfortunately many doctors take the treatment into their own hands. They think they learned I.P.T from someone else, but were never evaluated nor officially certified by Dr. Donato. Others never bother in updating their knowledge and continue administering I.P.T. without any supervision. This puts the patient at risk.

Patients and general public today have free access to "The List" of Certified I.P.T. Practitioners, trained and endorsed by Donato Perez Garcia, M.D., which is updated on a quarterly basis.

Doctors and/or organizations that are not on this list are not authorized to practice/train in I.P.T. Any disregard to do so, in due time, will have to reported to proper authorities, both in Mexico and the United States of America.
